12 years ago Anthony and I flew in this helicopter to welcome him to the world. We saw this land the morning of the parade and those memories came flowing back!

All my handsome boys! What a great photo....I gotta catch em when I can cause none of them like their pictures taken. Can you tell from their smiles. (ah mom not another one)

Our second family photo with Dominic since he was born. It helps that I lost 40lbs so I don't have 6 chins! We are a good looking family though!

My trip to Washington D.C in May 2009

Look at the security on the top of the White House. This was really weird, I thought you only seen this kind of stuff in movies!

I couldn't believe that I was really this close to the White House, I really never thought I would experience this in my lifetime. Thanks to my friend Melissa Brimhall, it all became reality!

This place was awesome. It was a monument each of the 50 states!
The atmosphere was one that was peaceful and calming!

These flags surrounded the perimeter of the Washington Memorial. It was a beautiful site.
A view of the Washington Monument from the Lincoln Memorial.

Here is the Lincoln Memorial with my grumpy face below. I had to pose so it was proof that I was actually in Washington D.C.

At the beautiful fountains that sat between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Memorial.

This was taken at six flags in Maryland. I got an opportunity to take a trip to visit my friend and her family that were living in Maryland at the time. We had a blast, I even rode the sky coaster at six flags and it was a rush. I was trying something I said I never would do, however like I said I was finding I was capable of doing things that I never thought I could do! What a blast!

Fast forward........

From Halloween on, the rest of 2008 was well let's just say..........We have put the past behind us and have moved on to happier times in our lives......... Just a brief run down of the time I have missed blogging about.................

We had Thanksgiving at our home in South Jordan....we moved to Bluffdale on the first of December.....Joe moved to Draper in the middle of December for a brief amount of time....I continued to live in Bluffdale until I found an apartment back in South Jordan where I and Joe now live together with our handsome boys. This past year has been very trying and a learning and growing experience for all of us. I found myself and discovered a lot of new things about myself and Joe discovered himself. We started dating for the remainder of Joe's lease. We built our relationship almost back to how it was the day we got married. Joe and I moved back in together at the beginning of October and we were able to make thing work and are looking forward to a great and wonderful future together! I am so excited to continue my life with the one I love, care for and most of all can once again call my very best friend!

Happy Halloween 2008

Dominic's Birthday 2008

Like I said I am behind a little....Dominic turned 5 and we celebrated in great fashion. He wanted to have the biggest inflatable slide we can find. Well he got it and we shared it with all our family and friends.

I'm Back!

This last year has been a crazy one! I had to take some time off from blogging to get my life under control.

Happy Birthday to me!

Yes it is my Birthday and I just turned "21". It has been a very relaxing day. I took the day off and haven't even got out of my P.J's yet. I need to go do my hair. Dominic says it looks crazy and you need to get it done so we can go outside. What a cutey he is! I will be attending yet another baseball game for Anthony tonight. He better win or I will cry! j/k.

Well, Joe made it safely through his surgery and is doing very well. He is sleeping a lot but they say you heal better when you rest. He says today the most pain is feeling the restriction and where the incisions are. He said that he is going to have to get use to that. His favorite meals for the next 5 days is Vegetable and Chicken broth. He gets Jell-o for dessert and sometime if he is good he gets a popsicle. Clear liquids have to be the best diet. He did tell me that I am going to need to find a clear liquid with some protien in it. (any ideas let me know) I will keep you all posted on how he is doing....he is going to venture out with me tonight to the baseball game we will see how well he does!

UPDATE!!!

Today was a good day! Dominic got up this morning and woke Grandma and said,"Grandma is it tomorrow now?" Grandma said yes Dominic it is! He was dressed and ready to go to school by 7:00am. School didn't start until 12:30pm, he had the treat bucket and was so excited to share with all of his friends that he wanted to make sure he was ready. He is learning so much, he is learning about similar items. He is doing so well, i hope he keeps up the good work.

Well we are successfully in our 3rd week of school for Anthony. He has the most awesome teacher this year. He is patient and kind and willing to accomodate Anthony and help him have a successful 6th grade year. Anthony is doing awesome, he is doing so well and is so excited to almost be done with Elementary school. Oh my where does the time go? We met today with the Neuro Psyh doctor on his testing we had done. She was blown away....... she stated that she has never had a child come into her office for testing that did as well as Anthony did. She stated that he is average in everything and above average in some areas. He does have some symptoms of ADHD but not as bad as she thought he would. He has extremely bad anxiety (I wonder where he gets that from) she is suggesting cognitive therapy and some for the anxiety, she told Anthony over and over that he needs to go to College, she told him he is too intelligent not to go! She suggested to Joe and I that we try a more structured lifestyle for him. We have already started that with school but now it has to be with everything he does in his day! Dr Russo says the more structure he has the more he will believe in himself and feel he doesn't have to be perfect just to do good! I am so glad for him, I now tell him you can not play dumb any more we have had you tested and you are way to smart! He gets a kick out of it. I can not wait for the changes I have already begun to see in him. He is such a cute kid and has such a beautiful personality! I guess I can say that cause I am his mom and I will always think he is cute even when he is sassy!

Labor Day!

What a busy weekend it was for us. Anthony had yet another baseball tourney. He did very well he had some awesome hits and some great plays. We didn't go all the way but we had a great time just him and his Mom! Joe worked and Dominic played at his friend Colby McOmie he can not get enough of that place.

On Sunday the McOmie's invited us over for dinner. We got to try turkey burgers for the first time and I will have to say they are not too bad. Joe is on a really stricked diet a 1200 calorie diet so we are looking for alternatives to good food. He is doing amazing he has already lost 30lbs in 2 weeks. I am so proud of his dedication.

While we were at the McOmie's Joe taught about 6 girls how to dance. He taught them how to swing their hips and to remember not to ever allow a guy to pick them up while dancing! We had a blast and it was a great way to say goodbye to warm summer nights.

On Monday I decided that I wanted to by the Wii Fit but it was impossible to find. We were at Target picking up a few things for the Kids and up walks a employee with a returned wii fit in her hands and was telling another employee she can not believe that someone returned it. I looked at Joe and said can I get it and he said you might as well. I have to say this is the best purchase ever. We got home and put the program in and it weighs you checks your bmi and tells you how old you should feel. Well I will tell you I didn't really like the machine once it told me that I am obese and that I am really the age of a 49 year old. Wow, I have some work to do. I decided since i spent the money on it I wouldn't throw it through the window for telling me something that I already knew. I figured if a video game is going to tell me I am obese I better hop on and start working out. Well today I feel the pain, it is good pain all for playing a video game. Hula hooping is not as easy as you think it is. I am loving it playing games and loosing weight. (I have to do something to keep up with Joe)

Dominics racing to knock down the pins!

Dominic set up these plastic cups to race his new car through! He says he can knock them down all at once because his car has fast rims on it!

Dominic had to get a model car too since Anthony had one! He didn't have to put his together but he is sure pround of his fast car and cool rims!

Anthony had Rowdy over this last weekend and they had so much fun! They put together Anthony's model car, played video games and swam a lot. We really enjoyed having him. He didn't say a whole lot but he was sure fun! Pictured: Tavish, Anthony, Rowdy and Dominic they played so good together all weekend!
